I think out of all my hobbies, I'm most insecure about my drawings and paintings.
But sometimes I make them anyways.
This is a canvas I painted - and loved... oh it was so pretty.
But then I ended up ruining it :o( I tried to turn it into a nightlight, and it just didn't end up well.
So here is what it looked like when it was pretty.
Like a cotton candy sunset.
I made this out of paint, canvas, and squares of paint samples from Home Depot.
We really do love video games.
This is a painting I made, I tried to make it look like Elizabeth Taylor but it ended up looking like a hybrid of something else.
I made this painting to fill a blank wall one day.
It hung there for a while, but then I decided that black and red were too angry for me, so I actually ended up priming over it and painting a Peter Pan-esque scene over it.
I made this painting for two of my friends who got married.
We were all friends in high school, and I remember when they had crushes on each other, then dated for a while, and so on... they have a long story! And an amazing one.
Made for each other.
This is a painting of Betty, an incredible woman I had the opportunity to serve when I was pregnant with my daughter. She had so much strength, and fire! Her cousin mentioned wanting a recent picture that was nice, and I asked if I could paint something for her from the picture.
Betty will be sorely missed.
A stargazer lily painting:
A painting for me to hang in my daughter's room - it's from the book I have that is filled with Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales. This is from "The Red Shoes"...
I painted this canvas mostly brown and hand-painted a lace pattern all over.
Then I flipped it over, and stapled in a string of white LED Christmas lights.
Now it's a nightlight!
I painted this tree mural on the wall:
I painted this for a friend:
