Aprons

I made this apron for my son for Christmas one year.

(He loves Superman)

And my daughter modeled it for me before I wrapped it, so I could get a picture.

I made this apron for my mother, for Christmas one year.

She is the best chef, and makes the most amazing food in the world. I know I'm only slightly biased because she is my mother, but anyone else who's been in her kitchen would agree with me. I promise!

She often hosts, and loves to cook for others, and my great-grandmother made a few pretty aprons (think hot pink gingham) back in the day that I even have a hand-me-down of. 

HOWEVER...

My mom loves to entertain, and an apron sometimes isn't the best accessory.

I thought it would be hilarious if she had a 'little black dress' apron for those occasions - so I sketched out some ideas and put together this apron for her to use when she hosts.
